The Today Show enjoyed an Olympic boost last week, but it wasn’t as big as the one it received during the 2002 winter games in Salt Lake City.

“With over 25 percent — 1.5 million — more viewers over GMA, the week marked the show’s best Olympic week, with the exception of the first week of the Salt Lake City games,” NBC’s press release says.

“Compared to the same time last winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, GMA has cut the gap with NBC’s “Today” by an impressive +31% in Total Viewers and +36% in Adults 25-54. In 2002, the gap between GMA and NBC’s Today was 2.1 million,” ABC’s press release adds.

With an average of 6.9 million viewers, NBC enjoyed its best weeekly average since the presidential election in 2004. Here are all the numbers:

Total viewers:

NBC: 6,790,000 / ABC: 5,270,000 / CBS: 2,960,000

25-54 demographic:

NBC: 3,420,000 / ABC: 2,500,000 / CBS: 1,310,000
