Morning News Ratings: Week of Jan. 22

Gap update: 700,000 total viewers and 530,000 in the 25-54 demo separate Today and Good Morning America.

In viewers, Today is down 3 percent, GMA is up 1 percent, and The Early Show is up 4 percent.

For the week of Jan. 22:

Total viewers: NBC: 5,720,000 / ABC: 5,020,000 / CBS: 2,900,000

25-54 demo: NBC: 2,780,000 / ABC: 2,250,000 / CBS: 1,180,000

> Update: 5:38pm: I should note that season to date, Today has widened its gap over GMA in both total viewers and the demo. “Today increased its total viewer advantage to 17% over GMA versus a 14% advantage during the comparable period last season,” the press release says. In 25-54, “Today has increased its season-to-date lead over GMA to 29% versus 20% last season…”
