MSNBC.com is using a very cool tool called the “Democracy Dashboard” to present midterm election trends.
The home page and the Politics section has a vertical bar with balance of power meters, a ticker of key races, and a link to “live results.” Clicking the results button displays a horizontal box with an auto-refreshing election map. Clicking the map leads to detailed data for each state.
The Dashboard isn’t the only creative display of data on the Web tonight. CNN.com’s main political page shows all the major results on one handy page. FOXNews.com’s home page has a balance of power tracker. And ABCNews.com has a beautiful interactive map…
