Meredith & Madonna: Yawn?

Madonna wasn’t even on time for her Thursday morning interview with Meredith Vieira.

The segment was scheduled for 8:35am, but she didn’t arrive until 8:39am — because of her hair, she said.

Vieira taped an interview with Madonna in November, but this was supposed to be her first-ever live interview on Today — because “I don’t like getting up and talking to people this early,” she said.

Maybe the interview explained why. Queerty says it “may be one the most boring interviews in the history of the world.”

But maybe it wasn’t all Madonna’s fault. “I’m a fan of Meredith, but she had the most awkward interview with Madonna,” an e-mailer says. “She seemed nervous, unprepared and repeateadly asked horrible questions. Not her finest moment.”
