Megyn Kelly posted a photo on Instagram of her 6-year-old son at the movie theater. Kelly and her husband Doug took their son to see Frozen 2, but before they entered the theater he was stopped dead in his tracks by a poster showing a woman who resembled his mom.
As you might have guessed, that poster was for Bombshell, which stars Charlize Theron as Megyn Kelly, Nicole Kidman as Gretchen Carlson, and Margot Robbie in a composite role as a young Fox News producer. The film recounts the sexual harassment that Kelly, Carlson and other women at Fox News experienced at the hands of former CEO Roger Ailes.
As Kelly mentions in the caption, while she has nothing to do with this film, she has indeed seen it.
“Watching this picture was an incredibly emotional experience for me, and for those with whom I saw it,” she wrote. “Sexual harassment is pervasive in this country; it can leave scars that do not heal. My heart goes out to those who’ve gone through it, who I hope might find some comfort in this story.”
What did Kelly actually think of Bombshell? She’s not ready to tell the public her thoughts about it just yet.
Bombshell opens in select locations today, and in theaters everywhere next Friday.
