The AP talks about ABC’s woes:
When asked about Primetime today, “ABC Entertainment President Stephen McPherson singled out two stories that seemed like reality TV episodes: one where cameras caught people’s reactions to two people fighting, and another where individuals tried to find each other in Manhattan.
He said he was intrigued by the idea of limited-run series, which ‘Dateline NBC’ has been doing this month with its episodes on pedophile sting operations.”
