In her weekly winners and losers column, Lisa de Moraes captures the conventional wisdom about ABC’s move, naming Charlie Gibson, Bob Schieffer, and Meredith Vieira as winners, and pregnant newswomen, Diane Sawyer, and David Westin as losers. This paragraph about Elizabeth Vargas is particularly good:
