Lights Out, TVs On

By Chris Ariens

Yes Super Tuesday, turned into not-so-wonderful Wednesday (if you’re Mitt Romney). After your TVNewsers turned-in the coverage went on. Here are a few notes from the tipbox:

• Late night honorable mention: At 2am we have Chris Jansing on MSNBC (…at 2am looking great), Shep on Fox and Fredricka Whitfield on CNN all continuing to bring in late results LIVE for us cable news junkies.

• Funniest moment of the night came at the end of CBS’s west coast feed of the prime time special when Katie Couric accidentally called Nicole Wallace, Nicole Kidman.

• 1:47am Rachel Maddow has one of the quotes of the night when she challenges Pat Buchanan‘s negative assessment of the 60’s with (paraphrasing): “If it wasn’t for the gains of the 60’s you wouldn’t have the rest of this panel.” (Eugene Robinson (Black) Norah O’Donnell and Rachel herself (women).
