Bill O’Reilly gained publicity from verbal joust with David Letterman on Tuesday night, Newsday’s Verne Gay reports.
On his radio show, O’Reilly called the CBS host a card-carrying member of the “secular progressive movement.” He also said: “See, I’m not some dopey movie star that comes in there who is intimidated by him…And most of his guests want his approval, and he knows that. So he has a very strong advantage point.”
On Wednesday’s Factor, O’Reilly replayed several minutes of the late-night back-and-forth. “The culture war plays out on the David Letterman program,” he declared.
