Right after this morning‘s live airing of the Today show from Chicago, Matt Lauer took off to tape a mum’s-the-word interview with a Chicago celeb. TVNewser has learned the sit-down was with basketball great Michael Jordan. The interview will air later this week on Today.
It’s a big week for Lauer, whose exclusive interview with Sen. Larry Craig and his wife, Suzanne Craig, will air tomorrow night. Lauer tells TVNewser his talk with the Craigs was “one of those difficult interviews, awkward at times. It’s a subject that everyone in the room was a little bit dicey about. But he (was) very candid, she (was) very candid. I think it’s going to be compelling TV.”
