Kotb, Curry, Bartiromo Win Gracie Awards

NBC News and CNBC have won a total of five Gracie Allen Awards. The awards, presented by the American Women in Radio and Television, recognize positive and realistic portrayals of women in entertainment, news and features. This year’s honorees will be given their awards May 28.

“NBC Nightly News” won Outstanding Feature for “The Forgotten: Life In Serbia’s Mental Institutions,” which was reported by Ann Curry. Hoda Kotb wins Outstanding Host. Nightly News senior producer Mary Laurence Flynn wins an Outstanding Producer award. The Suze Orman Show wins Outstanding Talk Show. And Maria Bartiromo‘s “Greenspan: Power, Money & The American Dream” wins Outstanding Documentary.
