Katie Couric Toasts Edward R. Murrow

Katie Couric was up late last night. First she attended a dinner honoring Queen Rania of Jordan at the Met, then headed to Lincoln Center for the Time 100 Gala.

Couric sat at table 10 with Tom Freston, John Huey, Jeffrey Bewkes, Wynton Marsalias, and Stephen Colbert, the NY Post says.

FishBowlNY reports: “She prefaced her remarks by saying ‘I’m worthless without a teleprompter’ before toasting Edward R. Murrow as having the greatest influence on her. ‘We were all reminded [this year of how] he was such a journalistic giant.'”
