KCouricKatie Couric launches a new digital interview series, “World 3.0,” on Yahoo! tomorrow, and for Couric, being able to spotlight industry innovators is all part of why she joined Yahoo!

“World 3.0 gives me a chance to meet the global game changers, the men and women in tech, science, medicine, business and philanthropy who have asked the question ‘what if?’ and found answers that have improved–and in some cases disrupted–their industries,” Couric tells TVNewser.

Her first interview is with Airbnb co-founder Brian Chesky. “He is most definitely one of those people!” she says.

“That’s really a big part of why I wanted to launch this series, and why I came to Yahoo in the first place. I am answering my own ‘what if’ after more than three decades in television.”

Couric sees a changing world, one that’s “iterating.” “I’m very excited to have a chance to be a part of it, and to tell you the stories of the people and ideas that are part of our future.”

Other upcoming “World 3.0” interviews Couric will conduct include rapper and Stand Up To Cancer Ambassador Lupe Fiasco, One World Futbol’s Tim Jahnigen and Lisa Tarver, and Matternet’s Andreas Raptopulos.
