Kasie Hunt Gets Her Own MSNBC Sunday Night Program

By A.J. Katz

NBC News Capitol Hill correspondent Kasie Hunt is bringing her talents to the anchor’s chair on Sunday nights. Hunt will host Kasie DC from 7 – 9 p.m. ET, where she’ll be interviewing Washington newsmakers and preview what the view should expect come Monday morning.

Politico reported in July that Hunt getting her own Sunday night show was “more or less a done deal.

This move is part of the network’s plan to expand its live weekend programming lineup to match the original programming CNN and Fox News air in Sunday prime time.

MSNBC has traditionally aired its prison docuseries Lockup on Sunday nights.

The new Sunday late-afternoon and evening slate will also include Yasmin Vossughian, who will host MSNBC Live with Yasmin Vossoughian in the 4 p.m. hour.

Ayman Mohyeldin will host MSNBC’s 5 p.m. hour (MSNBC Live with Ayman Mohyeldin), which TVNewser reported would be the case last month.

Mohyeldin and Vossoughian currently co-host MSNBC’s early morning show First Look, along with Louis Burgdorf.

Mohyeldin’s new show will be followed by a re-run of Meet the Press at 6 p.m., which will into Hunt’s show.

Each of these programs debut this coming Sunday, October 15.
