Just Back From Pyeongchang, Lester Holt Is Sick With the Flu

By Chris Ariens

While some U.S. Olympians will be coming home with a medal, NBC’s Lester Holt returned from South Korea with the flu.

Holt anchored Nightly News Sunday and Monday from New York, but was absent last night with the flu, we’re told. He’ll also be off tonight’s broadcast as well. Savannah Guthrie is doing double duty anchoring Nightly from Pyeongchang. She’s finishing up anchoring the Today show right now, 11 p.m. Pyeongchang time, and will be up in the morning to anchor Nightly News, at 8:30 a.m. local time.

Holt finished up his anchor stint from Olympics Friday, and returned to the U.S. Saturday.
