Josh Howard to Leave CNBC

By Chris Ariens

Broadcasting & Cable’s Marisa Guthrie reports CNBC VP of long form Josh Howard, is leaving the network. Guthrie reports Howard’s three-year contract expires next week and with cuts looming at CNBC, “he declined to seek” a new deal.

Howard joined CNBC in December 2005, nine months after he left CBS News. As EP of 60 Minutes II, Howard was at the helm when Dan Rather’s report on George W. Bush’s National Guard service aired.
