Jon Stewart Compares CNN to ‘The Doll Chucky’

Given an opportunity on CNN to talk about how much he likes CNN, Jon Stewart qualified his answer. Stewart told Fareed Zakaria “CNN is very similar to the doll Chucky,” referring to the character in the series of horror films that date from 1988’s “Child’s Play” through 2013’s “Curse of Chucky.”

How, exactly, is CNN like Chucky? Stewart says most of the time, the network is “good Chucky” with journalists around the globe reporting from dangerous places to tell important stories. But not always. “I want more of good CNN,” the “Daily Show” host said.

“Sometimes it’s good Chucky. But you’ve really got to watch out for bad Chucky.”
