Jake Tapper took to Twitter to respond to an eye-grabbing and offensive lower third chyron that was used on his show Monday. The Lead was doing a segment on the alt-right, a movement that includes some white supremacists and neo-nazis. The chyron cited a comment from the founder of the movement questioning “if Jews are people.”
The sentiment blew up on Twitter. Tapper, who is on vacation this week, responded to the uproar last night.
@jsthorpe2 yes, I’m off this week and I’m furious about that chyron and my staff has heard from me. Unacceptable.
