It’s Bret Baier Weekend at Fox News

By A.J. Katz

It’s looking like “Bret Baier Weekend” at Fox News Channel. The network’s chief political anchor snagged a one-on-one interview with Donald Trump, Baier’s first with Trump since June, and it aired Friday at 6 p.m. ET on Special Report. Additionally, Baier sat down with both Trump and Gov. Mike Pence for a joint interview. Portions of that interview also aired on Friday night’s episode, and the remainder will air during Sunday’s prime time edition of Special Report (8 p.m. ET).

Between those two special episodes, Baier will host a one-hour special entitled America’s Election HQ – How We Fight, which will air Saturday at 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. ET. The special looks at the U.S. military and threats that have emerged in recent years, as well as the military’s rules of engagement. In addition, the special features interviews with Defense Secretary Ash Carter, Navy Secretary Ray Mabus, former Defense Secretaries Robert Gates and Leon Panetta, leader of the Iraq surge General David Petraeus, and other high profile U.S. military figure.
