This unconventional convention brought its presumptive nominee to the stage in dramatic fashion: in silhouette and with a smoke machine.

The highlight of the first night of the Republican National Convention saw Donald Trump make a very brief appearance on stage, entering the hall in Cleveland to the song “We Are the Champions.”

To some, it was an entrance worthy of the WWE:

Introducing his wife, Melania, Trump said “we’re going to win big.” The woman who would be First Lady agreed, saying her husband knows “how to get things done” and knows “how to win.” She added, “it won’t even be close.”

“It would not be a Trump contest without excitement and drama,” she said.
