Iran Nuclear Deal Keeps Cablers Up Late

By Chris Ariens

The cable news networks went into overtime last night as a multi-national deal requiring Iran to temporarily halt its nuclear program came together.

NBC’s David Gregory anchored for MSNBC. The network also produced a special report for NBC stations and had Ann Curry in Geneva where, as Gregory put it, she had “exclusive access to these talks.” Harris Faulkner anchored for Fox News. She too anchored a special report for FOX stations, also seen on FBN, during the president’s remarks just after 10:30pm. Wolf Blitzer was in for CNN. Blitzer wrapped up at 11pmET. MSNBC remained in breaking news coverage until 11:07 and FNC stayed with the story until 11:25pm.
