Broadcasting & Cable’s John Eggerton writes about the tribute to former ABC News correspondent John McWethy, who died last Wednesday after a skiing accident. The service took place at the Newseum, which will also be the home of ABC’s This Week starting in April.
Some in attendance at the service: World News anchor Charlie Gibson, ABC News President David Westin and former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld.
“The common theme among almost all the speakers was that McWethy had his priorities in order, that as important as it was for him to do his job well, and they said he did it better than anyone, family was always his first priority,” Eggerton wrote.
