Don Imus wants to find outgoing MSNBC anchor Randy Meier a job at CNN or Fox News. Today is Meier’s last day anchoring MSNBC Live.
While talking to Lou Dobbs this morning, Imus said: “They didn’t renew his contract for some reason, they’re going in some different direction. I know to call Roger Ailes later, but I was just wondering…”
“Well Jon Klein, the president of CNN is always looking for new talent,” Dobbs said.
“Really? ‘Cuz this kid is great,” Imus responded.
Charles McCord said “if you were to blueprint a television journalist anchorperson, this would be my design,” referring to Meier. “I really do think that.”
Dobbs said he would introduce Meier to Klein…
