During an appearance on last night’s edition of The Kelly File, Huffington Post reporter Michelle Fields strongly criticized Donald Trump‘s former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski after it was confirmed earlier in the day that he had been let go by the campaign. Fields previously covered the Trump campaign for Breitbart News. She parted ways with the right-wing website after a hostile encounter with Lewandowski earlier this year. Fields filed a police report and showed bruises on her arm after an incident with Lewandowski at a Trump event in March. Security footage released later showed him grabbing her arm after a press conference.
Trump and his aides would argue that a misdemeanor charge was unnecessary, and authorities in Florida decided against prosecuting Lewandowski.
