How TV Newsers Are Marking International Women’s Day

TV news networks and shows are planning special programming today for International Women’s day.

Bloomberg TV and Radio will feature a predominantly female lineup of newsmakers. For 24 hours, leading female executives, including BlackRock’s Wei Li, Merrill Lynch’s Michelle Meyer, Goldman’s Katie Koch, Uber’s Megan Joyce and Google’s Diane Greene will offer their insight on today’s most pressing issues.

CNN’s Brooke Baldwin is taking part in a discussion with New York Times Magazine investigative reporter Azmat Khan, and New York Times reporter Emily Steel for Hearst publication ELLE.com.

She’s off today, but MSNBC Live with Stephanie Ruhle featured an all-female lineup of guests on her show yesterday. Guests included Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Donna Brazile, Peggy Noonan, Fmr. Gov. Christie Todd Whitman, and Jill Abramson.

The 4 hours of the all-female anchored Today show continue their coverage of outstanding women, including an interview with Serena Williams about her return to tennis. In her hour, Megyn Kelly continues the series “She Made It.” Today’s show features Tahera Rahman, first known woman to work as an American TV news reporter, in hijab.

FNC’s Martha MacCallum has a piece for Moneyish on female empowerment. MSNBC’s Joy Reid also has a piece on the site on race and gender in America.
