An NBC News crew was at a California gas station when a hit-and-run happened nearby Saturday morning.
As Stephanie Stanton‘s stand-up started on MSNBC, a red and white truck was visible behind her. A moment later, crash noises were heard.
“Sounds like someone had a crunch-up right there… What was that?,” Alex Witt asked.
“Uhh, well, it looks like someone hit the gas pump and just drove away. So we just had an accident here.
Pretty crazy. Well he just drove away…”
She was able to transition back to the subject at hand. “Anyway, back to gas prices,” she said. Here’s the video…
