Here’s Who’s Going to Dallas to Cover Police Ambush Shootings

Here’s the latest on network coverage of the murders of 5 police officers in Dallas last night. Scott Pelley, Lester Holt and David Muir are confirmed to anchor their evening newscasts from Texas tonight. CBS Evening News and NBC Nightly News are planning hour-long newscasts. Pelley was in Texas on vacation this week and made it to Dallas for CBS This Morning. He’s a veteran of the CBS News bureau in Dallas as well as local stations KXAS and WFAA.

  • CBS News has correspondents Manuel Bojorguez and Omar Villafranca in Dallas.
  • NBC News and MSNBC correspondents on the ground and enroute to Dallas are Joe Fryer, Gabe Gutierrez, Chris Hayes, Chris Jansing, Trymaine Lee, Tammy Leitner, Craig Melvin and Jacob Rascon.
  • ABC News correspondents Matt Gutman, Phillip Mena and Adrienne Bankert are in Dallas.
  • CNN has Ed Lavandera, Sara Sidner and Kyung Lah in Dallas. Wolf Blitzer picked up anchor coverage at 9 a.m.
  • For Fox News, Shepard Smith will be in Dallas to anchor from 2-5 p.m. ET along with Dallas-based FNC correspondent Casey Stegall and correspondents William La Jeunesse, Rick Leventhal and Rich Edson.
