Here’s What NBC News Got for Its Six-Figure Skydive Collision Payout

By Chris Ariens

As we told you last night, NBC News paid a licensing fee — reportedly in excess of $100,000 — for helmet-cam video from several skydivers who survived a mid-air collision over Wisconsin last weekend.

The network is getting the most out of its exclusive.

There was this story on last night’s “Nightly News.” There was Matt Lauer’s interview with the 9 skydivers (after the jump), as well as a separate interview with one of the pilots who safely landed his damaged plane. There’s also another video (after the jump) showing all five angles of the crash. And there’s also a one-hour “Dateline” special in the works. Did NBC get a big bang for its buck? What do you think?
