This Sunday morning on CBS’s Sunday Morning, correspondent Tracy Smith sits down with veteran White House correspondent Helen Thomas. Thomas tells Smith, “I am a little more courageous in speaking out. But then, I used to work for a wire service. It was, ‘just the facts, ma’am.’ If your mother told you she loved you, you’d check it out. But now, I can express myself and go for broke.”
The Sunday Morning piece is about famous octogenarians, and includes interviews with Hugh Hefner, Norman Lear, Ben Bradlee, and Elaine Stritch.
