TVNewser has learned consumer/investigative correspondent Greg Hunter is leaving CNN. Hunter’s stories appeared most often on American Morning. Insiders tell us Hunter’s contract was up but that the departure is mutual. Hunter joined CNN in September 2005. Before that, he was a consumer affairs and investigative correspondent for Good Morning America for six years. He joined ABC from WTSP-TV in Tampa.
Hunter has earned a National Headliner Award, as well as investigative reporting awards from both the Society of Professional Journalists and the RTNDA.
