Greenfield Becomes Senior CBS Political Correspondent; Starts On May 1

“I’m very pleased to announce that Jeff Greenfield, veteran political, media and culture reporter, will return to CBS News as Senior Political Correspondent,” Sean McManus announced internally minutes ago. “His start date is May 1.”

Greenfield says: “This is more than a homecoming — where did those 24 years go? When Sean invited me to be a part of CBS News — to join the exciting and dynamic organization he’s building there — and to have the chance to work again with Rick Kaplan and Paul Friedman, two colleagues from my ABC News days, on a wide range of political and cultural stories, for an audience in the millions, it was simply impossible not to accept. I’m looking to the next national election with enormous anticipation. I couldn’t be happier to be back.”
