Good Morning America’s Tony Perkins “Is The Object Of A Bidding War”

“Good Morning America Weatherman Tony Perkins has handed in his resignation,” according to FTVLive.com (subreq). “Word is that Perkins had an out clause in his contract and he has decided to exercise it.

But an ABC News insider disputed parts of the report this afternoon. “Tony is entertaining a number of offers…and is the object of a bidding war between a number of outlets,” a tipster says. “When he decides what he’s going to do, he’ll let us know.”

Also: “He is on the air at GMA and we’ll continue to be on the air.” But, the insider added, “he has serious offers.”
