Go To Heaven With Barbara Walters

By Brian

Tuesday night on ABC, Barbara Walters presented “The Ten Most Fascinating People of 2005.” She was on Larry King Live Monday night to promote it.

While on CNN, she mentioned a special that, in my opinion, sounded a lot more interesting than celebrity profiles. It’s called “Heaven, Where Is It, How Do We Get There?,” and it’s scheduled to air on Dec. 20.

“This heaven program is two hours long,” Walters explained. “It’s very rare that a network gives you two hours for a program and I’ve never been as excited or captivated.” She also called it “one of the most interesting projects that I’ve ever worked on.”

So how did it come about? “We were sitting around last year trying to think of something we could, you know, that we could do that would maybe not be movie stars and so forth and we see the country becoming, as we become more technically oriented, we become more spiritual. And we said everybody is interested in heaven…”

Walters has interviewed Richard Gere, Tibetan Buddhists, cardinals, Muslim leaders, a would-be suicide bomber, evangelicals, athiests, and people who felt they had died and gone to heaven for the program. Watch for it next month…
