ABC “Good Morning America” anchor Robin Roberts has snagged the first television interview with basketball superstar LeBron James, following his ESPN special tonight.
Roberts will interview James after his special airs, with the segment airing tomorrow morning on “GMA.” ABC is the broadcast sister network to ESPN, with both channels owned by the Walt Disney Company. ESPN has the exclusive television rights to “The Decision,” a special where James will announce where he will play next season in the NBA.
Roberts is no stranger to sports coverage, having spent years as an anchor at ESPN.
Update: Fox Business has a LeBron James special of its own planned for 10 p.m. tonight, following ESPN’s presentation. David Asman will be hosting the special, called “The Business of LeBron.”
