“I will miss our breakfast conversations more than I can adaquately say,” Charles Gibson said near the end of GMA today. In a brief speech, he thanked viewers, co-hosts, staff members, and many others. He included a shout-out to David Westin (“who would not let me leave at ABC”).
He started to wrap up: “Diane and Robin will be here tomorrow. GMA will go on better than ever.” Then he said it one more time: “Good Morning America.”
“For 19 years, my mornings” — and he cracked up a little bit.
“I almost made it!,” he said. Then he tried again.
“For 19 years, my mornings — they have not just been good, they have been great.”
