GMA EPs: Jim Murphy Is Senior EP & Tom Cibrowski Is EP Starting In Sept.

Here’s the long-awaited official announcement: “Jim Murphy, the longtime news producer and former executive producer of ‘The CBS Evening News,’ has been named senior executive producer of ABC News’ ‘Good Morning America’ effective immediately. In addition, GMA senior broadcast producer, Tom Cibrowski, will become executive producer at the beginning of September, it was announced today by David Westin, president of ABC News.”

Murphy will report to Phyllis McGrady, the senior vice president of morning, primetime and development at ABC News, and Cibrowski will report to Murphy. “Both will jointly oversee the day-to-day content and operations of the morning news program.”
