Geraldo Promotes Jackson Chat

By Brian

Fox News released excerpts from Geraldo Rivera’s interview with Michael Jackson on Thursday. Here’s the AP write-up. Geraldo has been doing the interview circuit to hype his Saturday show, including an appearance on the CBS Early Show: Fox “isn’t billing [it] as a hard news investigative piece,” CBSNews.com says. “The interview marks Jackson’s first major television interview for the embattled King of Pop since he spoke to CBS News Correspondent Ed Bradley in December 2003.”

> Meanwhile, Geraldo continues to fly in the face of objectivity. He told Access Hollywood that if Jackson is convicted of child molestation, he’ll shave off his trademark mustache. “Having investigated the facts and circumstances leading up to his indictment and everything that’s happened since, I’m absolutely convinced that he is being framed,” he said (via the WP). Hmmm…Do you think that belief helped him land the interview?
