NBC News has hired Gabe Gutierrez as a correspondent in the network’s Southeast bureau in Atlanta. Gutierrez joins from KHOU in Houston where he was the station’s City Hall reporter. Prior to working in Houston, Gutierrez was a weekend morning anchor and reporter at WJRT-TV, the ABC station in Flint, MI. His first on-air job was at WBOY-TV, the NBC affiliate in Clarksburg, WV, where he anchored weekend newscasts and reported during the week. In college, the Miami native interned at Telemundo in South Florida and at ABC Newsone in Chicago.
Gutierrez joins NBC in two weeks.
