“In a toast rather than a roast, the Friars Club will offer a ‘special tribute’ to ABC anchor Bob Woodruff and CBS correspondent Kimberly Dozier at its annual — since 2002 — salute to New York News Legends Tuesday night,” Broadcasting & Cable’s John Eggerton reports.
Dozier is in New Zealand for rehab so she “has written a note to be read at the event.” (She’s not expected back in the U.S. “until sometime next year.”)
Woodruff is in London for tomorrow’s memorial service for James Brolan, who was killed while traveling with Dozier in January. In Woodruff’s place, ABC correspondent John Berman will accept the award.
