‘Fox Report’ Of The Future?

Add this to the long list of Shep Smith features: “At a time when the TV news business is looking to reinvent itself, a glimpse of the future might be found weeknights at 7 p.m. ET, when Fox News Channel begins its whirlwind tour through the day’s headlines,” The Hollywood Reporter says (regreq).

“The words ‘Fox Report’ means essentially the best of Fox News Channel and everything we’re bringing to viewers, the best of that news, a little bit of everything,” says Jay Wallace, executive producer of both “Studio B” and “The Fox Report.” “We’re still doing dolphin stories, pet rescues,” he says. “We try to give people what they’re interested in.” Sounds to me like a model for a nightly newscast on the Fox broadcast network…
