Fox News has named Jason Ehrich executive vice president of audience development and strategic partnerships, Fox News chief executive Suzanne Scott announced Thursday.

Ehrich, who was previously FNC’s executive vice president of marketing, on-air promotions, audience development and social media, is tasked with overseeing FNC’s digital partnership strategy, focusing specifically on growing the Fox News audience, maximizing revenue streams and developing business models for the company to explore. In the new role, Ehrich will also oversee Fox News Shop, the company’s e-commerce business.

He will continue to oversee Fox News’ social media and content distribution in his new role.

The appointment is effective immediately. Ehrich will report into Scott.

In his previous position, Ehrich spearheaded the growth of Fox’s digital audience, including by bringing FNC content to Facebook Watch and renewing the successful Facebook Watch program, Fox News Update. During the 2016 election, Ehrich worked to develop partnerships between Fox News and platforms like Google and Instagram.

Ehrich is a 21-year veteran of FNC, first joining the company in 1998 as a viewer services writer.
