A discussion of race in America on Fox’s “O’Reilly Factor” turned into a debate about the network itself when guest Jasymne Cannick said “many of the shows on this very network help perpetuate the racism that exists in America.” The comment clearly stunned host Eric Bolling, sitting in for O’Reilly, who shot back, “How? Don’t lob a grenade without telling me how.”
Bolling noted that Cannick’s appearance followed several back-to-back discussions of race, with varying viewpoints, and asked her how that perpetuated racism. Cannick said only “you know exactly what I’m saying, Eric.”
Cannick later tweeted a sort of thank-you note to Fox:
Thank you Fox News for without your audience that racism that we know exists but that you constantly deny might go unsaid:)
