Fox News Dominates with Obama

Cable news viewers chose Fox News Channel over all others for coverage of Pres. Obama’s Afghanistan address and post-speech analysis last night.

For the West Point address from 8:02pm-8:36pm, Fox News drew 4.554M Total Viewers to CNN’s 2.349M and MSNBC’s 1.56M. FNC and CNN ticked up in viewership when the president concluded and the analysis began, which shows that while some viewers watched on the broadcast networks (or not at all), they switched over to cable news for post-speech analysis.

Fox News added a whopping 663K Total Viewers when Pres. Obama wrapped up at 8:36pm. CNN added another 93K.
