Former Miami Dolphins tight end and broadcaster Jim Mandich died Tuesday after a battle with bile-duct cancer. He was 62.

Mandich played eight seasons for the Dolphins and worked as a Miami color commentator with Jimmy Cefalo and Joe Rose.

Nicknamed the “Mad Dog,” Mandich decided to end his daily sports talk show when he was diagnosed with cancer in 2010.
