It is my great pleasure to announce that Princell Hair is joining Comcast SportsNet as the new senior vice president of news operations. Princell will oversee news, studio programming and digital content for our family of networks. He will be based in Philadelphia and report to me.

Princell is a veteran national and local news programmer, having headed CNN’s news operations as executive vice president and general manager of CNN/U.S., and coordinated news coverage for 39 Viacom television stations in markets across the country.

In addition to his deep news background, Princell has spent the past eighteen months advising internet start-ups on programming and content strategies to target online audiences. His multimedia experience will be a tremendous asset to our new media development efforts.

As we continue to grow our business and extend our brand across multiple platforms, I’m confident that Princell will make an immediate contribution in evaluating new content opportunities and ensuring that we deliver the highest possible value to our audience of passionate sports fans, our advertisers, and our affiliate partners. Princell begins his new role today and will be relocating his family to Philadelphia during the next year.
