FNC’s Greta Van Susteren Makes Forbes Most Powerful Women List

By Brian Flood

Forbes released its 12th annual World’s 100 Most Powerful Women list today and only one traditional TV newser makes the cut. Fox News Channel anchor Greta Van Susteren is ranked No. 99, joining women such as Angela Merkel, Hillary Clinton, Melinda Gates, Oprah WinfreySheryl Sandberg and Michelle Obama on the exclusive list.

Members of the 2015 ranking represent women in eight categories – technology, politics, business, finance, media, entertainment, philanthropy and billionaires. To determine the rank within each category, as well as overall rank on the list of 100, Forbes applied four metrics: money, media, impact and spheres of influence.

Other media members to crack the list include Conce Nast artistic director Anna Wintour, NBCU chairwomen Bonnie Hammer, Huffington Post editor-in-chief Arianna Huffington, Fox TV CEO Dana Walden and The Guardian editor-in-chief Katharine Viner.
