“Media-entertainment giant News Corp. said its most recent quarterly profit more than doubled to 820 million dollars, led by strong growth in its Fox television and cable operations,” AFP reports.
News Corp’s press release says: “The Fox News Channel (FNC) reported operating income growth of 24% compared to the third quarter a year ago, primarily from higher advertising on increased pricing and volume. During the quarter, viewership at FNC was nearly double its nearest competitor in primetime.”
