FNC At 10: Short-Term Future Looks Bright; Long-Term Looks Dimmer –Tyndall

I think Andrew Tyndall‘s remarks are very interesting in this Financial Times piece about FNC’s 10th:

“The question hanging over Fox News as it begins its next decade is not whether it will make a living, but whether it can sustain its impressive momentum. Andrew Tyndall, editor of the Tyndall Report, a newsletter about the cable news business, argues that while Fox is set for a windfall from new contracts with cable operators, there could be problems on the horizon. Its website attracts less traffic than those of competitors, and the average age of its television viewers is over 60.

‘The future looks really bright for Fox for the next three years. But it looks a lot dimmer in 10 years,’ Mr Tyndall said.”
