Countdown with Keith Olbermann on MSNBC finished third in both total viewers and the A25-54 demo during February, thanks to a strong showing from CNN’s election-themed programming.
CNN’s Election Center, their new 8pmET placeholder until Campbell Brown settles in, edged Countdown for the month of February, excluding the days when special programming was airing, such as debates and primary coverage hour-long specials. First place was easily wrapped up by The O’Reilly Factor on FNC.
Total viewers: O’Reilly Factor — 2,708,000, Election Center — 1,123,000, Countdown — 1,025,000
A25-54 demo: O’Reilly Factor — 551,000, Election Center — 392,000, Countdown — 386,000
> Update: The numbers reflect all programming titled Election Center, which includes CNN’s primary coverage during February. With primary coverage excluded, Countdown would average 408,000 and Election Center would average 290,000.
