Fox Business is building up its D.C. bureau, and journalist Edward Lawrence is the newest addition.
FBN president Brian Jones announced this morning that Lawrence will become a Fox Business assignment reporter covering economic and political breaking news for the network.
Lawrence most recently served as a freelance correspondent, covering stories for outlets including NBC News, CBS News, MSNBC and Global News Canada.
Prior to going freelance, Lawrence spent years as a local news reporter, including stints at WFTS, the ABC affiliate in Tampa, KCBS and KCAL, the CBS stations in LA.
Lawrence won an Emmy in 2015 for his breaking news reporting, and previously garnered well as Associated Press awards for his news coverage in 1996, 1999, 2001 and 2015.
